My background:

My goal is to help you fall in love with Paris as much as I have.

My name is Joseph. I was born in New York City to two immigrants and lived there for most of my life. For many years, I worked in NYC non-profit organizations. After getting my PhD, I moved to Seattle, where I am currently a professor in the Social Work Department at Seattle University.

I love to travel and have been privileged enough to have visited many countries. However, my favorite place in the entire world is Paris.

I travel to Paris regularly, and when I go, I stay for weeks or months at a time. I have spent over two years living in Paris during a dozen trips over the past four decades.

Because I have also spent many years giving travel advice to friends (and to their friends) about Paris, and helping them plan their trips, I decided to open this company so that I could help even more people discover all the magic of the City of Light.

There are so many amazing things to do in Paris: strolling, shopping, museums, music, culture, parks, churches, art, dance clubs, cooking classes, etc.

I look forward to taking the work off your hands and helping you plan your perfect bespoke trip to Paris – customized to your personal preferences and interests.

My Paris philosophy:

I think that Americans can learn a lot about life from visiting Paris.

Coming to Paris is not just about checking off a bunch of famous sites from some checklist. It is about experiencing your own life in a whole new way.

  • Paris is about learning how to slow down when you eat, so you can really taste your food, but also savor your dining companions as much as your meal.

  • Paris is about shopping with open eyes, and taking in all the beautiful things, including those you don’t buy.

  • Paris is about visiting neighborhoods, rather than sites, and getting to know the specific rhythm, look, and feel of each area.

  • Paris is about experiencing the city as you stroll, not just seeing it.

The French word flâner means walking the city in order to experience it. And that is what I recommend doing in Paris.

Just wander around, observing the famous lights, the ancient buildings, the latest fashions, the delightful market streets, the glamorous boutiques, the romantic river, the cobblestone roads, the beautiful parks, the delicate pastries, the stunning architecture, the chic people, and the ornate bridges.
